The Caregiver program is for individuals who want to immigrate and work in Canada as Caregivers. Canada has a long history of welcoming caregivers to support its economy and society.

Home Child Care Provider & Home Support Worker​
Home Child Care Provider & Home Support Worker pilot programs provide caregivers with a pathway to permanent residence once they have completed two years of eligible Canadian work experience.
​
Applicants with work experience in NOC 4411 (NOC 2021 - 44100) may be eligible for permanent residence through the Home Child Care Provider Pilot program.
​
Applicants with work experience in NOC 4412 (NOC 2021 - 44101)may be eligible for permanent residence through the Home Support Worker Pilot program.​​
Temporary work for Caregivers

Applicants may be eligible to obtain a work permit if you currently reside in Canada under the Temporary Foreign Worker Program. Your employer will need to get a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) before you apply for a work permit.
