About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker for our client(s). As a PSW, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to individuals who require assistance with daily activities due to age, disability, or other health-related issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Assist with mobility and transfer of clients.
Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
Monitor and record vital signs and other health-related information.
Assist with meal preparation and feeding.
Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
Provide emotional support and companionship to clients.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure the well-being of clients.
Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
Requirements
Preferred candidates will have previous experience in a similar role, demonstrating their ability to provide quality care and support.
Knowledge of basic healthcare practices and procedures is essential for this role.
A compassionate and empathetic attitude towards clients, coupled with the ability to provide emotional support, is crucial.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients, their families, and the healthcare team.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team and follow instructions from healthcare professionals.
Having a current First Aid and CPR certification is a requirement.
Candidates should be able to pass a criminal background check to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
