About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join client(s) team. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our food service establishment, ensuring quality, efficiency, and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including servers, cooks, and kitchen staff, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and support to maintain a high level of performance and professionalism.
Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control to meet established standards.
Assist in the development of menus and pricing, taking into account customer preferences and profitability.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene practices to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies, tracking stock levels, and minimizing waste.
Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally to ensure a positive dining experience.
Collaborate with management to implement strategies to improve service quality, efficiency, and profitability.
Maintain accurate records of sales, employee schedules, and other operational data.

Requirements

  1. Proven experience as a Food Service Supervisor, with a minimum of one year of supervisory experience in the food service industry.

  2. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, guide, and coach a diverse team of employees.

  3. Knowledge of food service operations, including food preparation, serving, and customer interaction, to ensure quality and efficiency.

  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective staff training, customer interactions, and addressing inquiries or concerns professionally.

  5. Understanding of food safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe and sanitary working environment.

  6. Ability to oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste.

  7. Experience or familiarity with menu development and pricing strategies, taking into account customer preferences and profitability.

  8. Proficiency in maintaining accurate records of sales, employee schedules, and other operational data.

  9. Basic computer skills for tasks such as scheduling and inventory management.

  10. Flexibility in work hours, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required to meet business demands.
