About the Role
We are seeking friendly and dedicated Food Counter Attendants to join our client(s) team. As a Food Counter Attendant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our customers have a positive dining experience by providing excellent service and serving delicious meals.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanor as they approach the counter.
Take customer orders accurately, ensuring that special requests or dietary restrictions are noted.
Prepare and assemble food items, such as sandwiches, salads, and beverages, following established recipes and quality standards.
Operate cash registers and handle customer payments, providing correct change and receipts.
Maintain a clean and organized counter area, including the display of food items and utensils.
Keep track of inventory levels and notify the supervisor or manager when supplies need to be replenished.
Assist in restocking food items and maintaining freshness by following FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide information about menu items as needed.
Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene practices to ensure the safety of food preparation and service.
Requirements
Friendly and customer-focused attitude with excellent communication skills to provide exceptional service to customers.
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required; entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.
Ability to take customer orders accurately, including noting special requests and dietary restrictions.
Basic food preparation skills, including assembling items such as sandwiches, salads, and beverages following established recipes and quality standards.
Basic math skills for operating cash registers, handling customer payments, providing correct change, and issuing receipts.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and a commitment to following hygiene practices to ensure food safety.
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, carry out duties, and lift moderate-weight items as needed.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively during peak hours.
Flexibility in work hours, including availability for evening shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by the business.
