Canadian Experience Class

The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is an immigration program that allows individuals who have worked in Canada for at least one year to immigrate permanently. CEC is a part of Canada’s Express Entry immigration system.

In order to qualify for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) program the prospective immigrant must at least meet these requirements:

  • Minimum Language requirements -

    • CLB/NCLC 7 for NOC O & NOC A positions 

    • CLB/NCLC 5 for NOC B positions.

  • Have at least 1 year of skilled work experience in Canada, in the last 3 years before you apply. The work experience must be:

    • full-time or

    • an equal amount in part-time

  • have gained your work experience by working in Canada legally

  • Must plan to live anywhere in Canada except for Quebec.  If you are living in Quebec you must plan to move to another province
